TROY TREE REMOVAL & TREE TRIMMING
Troy Tree Service
Michigan is famously home to unmeasured beauty. Rich with Northern trees, landscapes, and miles of green— and sometimes pure white —to feast your eyes upon. That natural beauty isn’t something to squander and take for granted. The crispness of the air, the smell of the leaves after they start to fall from the trees, all of that is something to cherish because it can’t be replicated anywhere else. Troy, Michigan, in particular, is a jewel in the crown of the Great Lakes state. With a well-formed culture and stunning vistas, it’s an exceptional community that is made better every day by the people within it as well as the naturally enhancing trees that they take such good care of.
The History
If you’ve visited the Troy Historic Village, you’ll be familiar with some of the factors that came into play when the city of Troy was initially forming. In the 1820s, the city started to take shape as pioneers who emigrated into New York started to look for a place to settle and put down roots. Some came by wagon through the Ohio wilderness and others went to Detroit from the Erie Canal — the booming industrial portion of the North. These new settlers shortly started clearing the forests and sowing new crops. A mere 60 years after the beginning of the population boom, the Troy Township had made a name for itself by producing high-quality produce like corn, melons, wheat, and other fruits as well as more tradable goods like wool and dairy products.
Troy Historical Facts
The lack of industrialism preserved the town’s rural charm. Without enough hydropower to fuel a downtown business district, Troy remained secluded and enriched by the trees and nature pressing in on both sides and fostering the hometown, country feeling the pioneers had originally sought out.
In World War II, Oakland County turned it’s eye to commercial and industrial development in order to foster the homefront war effort on our turf. The downtown business sector started to grow into what we know today and by 1955 the City of Troy was established as a home rule city. The next 25 years would be marked with expansion and growth. Slowly, our beautiful town grew into the center of commerce and growth it is today. However, we’re proud to enjoy our still somewhat rural feeling and the ever-present sense of nature and closeness of our community.
